When I saw *Bogbrush's year long series A Beacon Year (starting here: [link]) I knew I would have to make a stamp from it someday! Well, guess what today is!?
I used (with permission!) all twelve pictures (one from each month - check out his gallery! [link]), loaded 'em into Photoshop where I scaled and moved and rotated the begeebees out of 'em, cropped 'em to the largest size that didn't have any border in it and transferred the results into Morpheus. That's when the fun began! Getting two pictures to morph properly is a bit tricky, but getting twelve to morph, one into the other then back to the first was a bit of a challenge. Put a thumb of this stamp in your journal if you're a friend of *Bogbrush (or if you just think it's cool! And go give *Bogbrush's year-in-the-making series of photo's some love! They really are what made this stamp possible in the first place. Edit 8/31/07 Thanks to `AbCat and ~moyanII for their suggestions. I think simply "Bogbrush" instead of "I Support Bogbrush" would be better. As far as I know, lovely chap as he is, he isn't involved in anything that actually needs support. Also, we could maybe see some more of that beautiful picture with less lettering in the way. Saying that, it is by far the most beautiful stamp I've ever seen. I love the way we can see the tree growing in the summer months, and the way the clouds skip across the skyline. agreed with `AbCat, less is more.
the twelve pictures are awesome, especially when combined into one moving frame. -- ~secret study~ ~silent studio~ Very good points - and taken to heart. I also used the opportunity to tweak the font and color of the remaining text.
(Interestingly, an early version of it had all sorts of swooping and gliding text - and I simplified it down to the version I posted yesterday. I guess I just needed a nudge to get me to pare it down to the minimum. Thank you for the compliment! I must say that I am happy with the results I got from the morphing software. Again, early versions were just fades between the pictures, and even though I had taken pains to align and properly scale them all, the effect just wasn't what I had in my head. -- 玉: 我的天使 ♥ Always look on the bright side... there's more light there and it's easier to find stuff. You and `AbCat are quite correct! I've changed it and posted the new version (and tweaked the font and color while I was at it

And I got a print yesterday! What a surprise! Thanks John! -- GroupOp @ #europeans | Founder @ #Nederlanders | BHH @ #Project-Pay-Forward What can I say? You've done a fantastic job especially since the photographer couldn't seem to get the hills in the background in the same place or the size of the tree the same between shots
I'm very impressed, especially at the amount of work you obviously put in.
