Here it is, in the nick of time, the stamp for the Winter 2009 HaikuWriMo! The event will be hosted, as usual, by the inimitable `MSJames.
This piece is my first collaboration on a stamp - the concept for this work came entirely from the ever fertile mind of our own Master (Mistress?) haijin `jade-pandora. I just twiddled some pixels to bring her vision to life, and this is the result! I loved the idea of using the moon phases for a February WriMo, given that February is the month closest to the duration of the moon cycle. I also loved the simplicity of her vision - very much in the spirit of haiku. I hope this stamp will help inspire a month of fabulous haiku from all of you great haijin who will be participating!
